In my post “Love of the dark” (sorry, it is just available in German) I have dedicated a paragraph to the being of hatred. Since I was asked by a friend and colleague to develop a meditation to set this mostly masterfully repressed energy free, and because I find the free flow of everything very important, I am happy to fulfill her wish. And here and now let me share the result with you.
As a reminder … the being of hate
Hate yourself and others.
That was (to compress the story) a message of the spiritual world, I received some time ago. When I traveled to the being of hate with a friend of mine, first of all he was hard to find. He was hidden and haggard. When I asked him why that was such, he told me that he was one of the most repressed emotions. He said, it wasn’t him hisself who would hide, but we humans were.
He further said that self-criticism is a form of self-hatred. Many of us would have anchored this energy in their system. If we would allow ourselves to hate us one lap from time to time very conscously, then these very detained emotions could come to the surface, flow off and make room for the love of self. And if we would allow us to hate other people even from the bottom of the heart, we would allow us to have that feeling. The hatred in us would receive his room and his appreciation and this way it could just come off, so that genuine forgiveness could take place. He invited the people, consciously to take the time to hate, because that would act like a shower and was an act of self-love and love.
Also the hatred is an aspect of the great whole. We can defend ourselves against it and supplant it, but then it acts in our subconscious and poisons both our own as well as the lives of others. As well we can accept that energy as part of the whole that we are and just love it like everything else. In this sense, hatred teaches us unconditional love.
Welcome to life with the principle: both-as-well. This is life in paradoxes.
I invite you, to go completely into confidence and to allowe yourself to let go off your idea of what should be and what should not be, what you should feel and what you should not feel. I invite you to have confidence in the process and especially in your own magnitude. I invite you to follow the meditation and to take a conscious “shower of hate”.
Meditation to raise your energies of hate and to bring light into your subconscious emotions
Close your eyes and consciously breathe seven times in and out. Each inhaling you’ll catch the sun’s energy from the center of the sun in your heart. With each exhale you form a sun out of the middle of your heart. It offers you a safe space where you can let your energies flow in all directions, without harming yourself or another person. So you’re well prepared for your journey.

Ask your spiritual accompaniment to assist you with your project. Ask to be brought to the being of hatred and follow your spiritual guidance.
Ask the hate what he wants to tell you. Feel and listen closely. Make yourself receptive for his message. He loves you, just like anything else in the universes does.
Give your love to him too. He has served you faithfully for many millennia. And then ask him to go together with you through your body. His hiding place is within you. Let him show you where you have repressed these emotions. Feel them, look at them. Breathe deeply into those places of your body, where they are waiting to be finally felt and accepted.
Start in your feet and walk slowly and attentive further upwards. Breathe vertically and let your hatred flow easily. It may feel uncomfortable. That is how this emotion feels like. It is a part of life and a part of you. It belongs to you, just like everything else. Allow it to be inside of you and to flow freely.
If you feel very concrete hatred towards certain people just approve it. Allow your emotions, to express themselves freely. Neither you nor the respective people can happen something bad. You have created a safe space. These energies have flown to those people out of your subconscious for long time. If you are aware of it here and now you appreciate and liberate it. In this way not only you, but also the other people will be freed.
If you feel hatred towards yourself, just allow even this energy. Let it flow. Do not try to go into the forgiveness immediately. First give this unpleasant, dark and long banished feeling its room. That is an act of self-love, for it is your feeling. Breathe. Breathe deeply – from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Let your self-hatred circulate in your whole body and feel where else it sits. It will be pulled out of your cells by resonance, like drops of water that attract each other.
Respect and honor you for this emotion. Respect and honor the being of hatred. And respect and honor the people who were deeply hated by you.
And look how your hatred is changing little by little. With your love and acceptance you bring light into it. Joy automatically flows into it, like sunlight flows into a dark storm. Look at the rainbow that is forming. Look at the play of light and shadow, and enjoy what all you are. Because that is what you are: the universal One.
And then say “thank you” to the being of hatred. Invite it to take his place inside your heart – the place that belongs to him. Your heart is the space in which everything is allowed to be. Promise yourself, never to displace emerging hatreds so deep into the subconscious again and take the quality of your new ease and strenght with you into your daily consciousness. There is no need to have fear, if you should meet the hatred another time.
And then knead the retrieved energy into your body. Stretch yourself. Strain your muscles and relax them again. Be completely back in the here and now again and open your eyes.
Say “thanks” to your spiritual friends and to yourself, as I am also grateful to you for your confidence and your courage. Ask for closing of the protected space you had created before the meditation. Also ask to take care for those energies which perhaps still are floating around inside of it.
Make this meditation as often as you need it. With each time you’ll become lighter aswell as your life. The unconditional self-acceptance and self-love is the key to freedom. The memory of this primordial being that you are, I wish you deeply.
PS: I want to clarify what I mean by "truth". I take every single person as a creator, so also as a creator of reality. Thus, there is not one truth, but at least as many truths as there are humans. And to be more exact, we are creating the whole truth new in every second. So I request you to accept, what I write here, as what it is: my truth.
